Yemeni government vow to continue strikes on Al-Qaeda affiliates, stating Al-Qaeda's attacks against security services will not put off the Yemenis government from striking the terrorist group, statement released by the Interior Ministry has said.
Al-Qaeda's attacks against security forces in Lodar city of the southern province of Abyan were failed last week as the security forces managed to kill around 15 Al-Qaeda affiliate and detained another 10 militants, the statement said.
Security agencies have up to now carried out more than 70 strikes against Al-Qaeda militants during the past months, it said, adding that many militants have been killed including field leaders.
Lodar city of Abyan that has witnessed a series of deadly clashes between Al-Qaeda militants and security forces is believed to be a stronghold of Al-Qaeda Yemen.
