About 66 MPs have suspended their parliamentary memberships in protest at what their fellow, Bin Aziz, is suffering in Amran Province amid attacks by the Houthi Group.
The lawmakers demanded in a letter to Parliament they will not come into any discussion until the issue of Bin Aziz is resolved.
In response, the council approved on Wednesday to sit with Ministers of Defense and Interior as well as head of the Peace Committee in Saada and discuss the breaches of the ceasefire by the group through launching attacks against an MP and citizens.
It is expected that Saada MPs and other parliamentary blocs' and committees' heads to meet with the two ministers and head of the Peace Committee to make suitable decisions that will be submitted to Parliament next Saturday.
However, MP Othman Mujali said the Saada MPs will not attend the meeting because they are seeking concrete actions but not 'unhelpful meetings'.
More recently, reports noted Houthi followers launched attacks against the house of MP Bin Aiziz aiming to take over it amid confrontations between Bin Aziz tribes and Houthi followers that have been continuing for almost a week in Amran Province. Dozens have been killed and injured in clashes.
The clashes come amid fears Saada is on the verge of a seventh war and accusations traded by the government and the Houthi Group over breaches and preparing for a war. The government and the group reached a ceasefire in February this year ending a six-year war in the far north.
In recent months, sporadic confrontations between pro-government tribes and the Houthi Groups were reported in Saada and Harf Sufyan district in neighboring Amran Province, with Houthi sources claiming the government is inflaming the situation.
But the government and the ceasefire committees said the group has never demonstrated full commitment to the six-term ceasefire and continued attacks and setting up new checkpoints.
In June, a new deal between the two sides were revealed for implementing the rest terms of the February ceasefire and reconciliation among the tribes in Saada, Amran and Jawf Provinces.
