Qatar's Emir Hamad Bin Khalifa concluded on Tuesday his one-day visit to Yemen.
On the visit, the Emir held talks with President Saleh that focused on the bilateral relationship, issues of mutual interest, ways of boosting cooperation in all areas and resuming the Qatari mediation between the government and the Houthi Group.
After the talks, the two leaders held a press conference in Sana'a at which the Emir said he and Saleh agreed to activate the Qatari five-term agreement signed by the government and the group.
President Saleh affirmed that, adding a sixth term was added to the agreement concerning Saudi Arabia after it was brought into the last war between the army and the group in the far north .
President Saleh ruled out a new war may erupt with the group though he said that confrontations sporadically take place between pro-government tribesmen and Houthi followers.
He said what has been achieved under the ceasefire reached in February was good, assuring all terms of the ceasefire will entirely be implemented. The Emir added that his country likes to help Yemen and lift it from its current crises.
On internationalizing the south issue, he said Qatar refuses to complicate the issue and opposes those who think of internationalizing Yemen's problems.
The visit of the Emir came a day after receiving Saleh's letter delivered by the political advisor of Saleh Abdul Karim Al-Eryani. Media reports noted the letter demanded to resume the Qatar mediation and contribution to rebuilding the war-ravaged areas in Saada Province.
