At least 8 suspects were arrested on Thursday in the raids carried out by police as the hunt for other suspects responsible for Saturday's deadly terrorist attack on the Political Security Office in Aden is continuing.
The arrests took place in Al-Saadah and Alnasr quarters in Khour Maksar District.
They came four days after the authorities announced the arrest of the main suspect in the attack in which seven soldiers, three women and a child were killed and 15 others were injured.
Police raided several homes in search for three suspects at the quarters known as hotbeds of armed outlaws and saboteurs who usually commit sabotage.
The mastermind of the attack, arrested on Sunday, was identified as Ghawdal Muhammad Saleh Naji. He was a terrorist affiliate and had committed several terrorist and sabotage attacks including stealing YR 100 million from a car of the Arab Bank in late last year, the authorities said.
Last Saturday three gunmen broke into the office shooting bullets and detonating bombs at guards and civilians. The authorities said the attack bore the hallmarks of Al-Qaeda.
