An Al-Qaeda member handed on Saturday himself to the Yemeni authorities in Marib Province in the northeast, the Alsahwa website reported.
Ghalib Al-Zayedi, who was one of most-wanted terrorist suspects, surrendered to the province governor Ali Al-Zayedi after long negotiations led by the governor.
Years ago, Al-Zayedi was tried along with another wanted suspect, Muhammad Al-Ahdel, on charges related to sheltering Al-Ahdel.
The two served 3-year jail terms inside the Sana'a Political Security Prison but Al-Zayedi was later released on a commercial bill.
Al-Zayedi, from the district of Serwah, is married with 3 sons and 2 daughters. He graduated with a BA degree in Quran sciences from the Al-Da'awah Scientific Center in Sana'a in 1422 Hijri.
