Three people were killed and others were injured when clashes erupted on Monday between Houthi followers and armed tribesmen in Yemen's northern Saada province.
Light and medium weapons were used by both sides in the confrontations that occurred after the Houthis tried to take over a village to establish a camp in it, a tribal source to the News Yemen.
But a source at the Houthi Information Center told the website that armed tribesmen ambushed Houthi followers killing one and injuring other two. The ambush triggered the fighting, the source said.
The source accused the government of igniting the situation whenever it calms down in the province.
The last confrontations exposed the position of the government aiming at bringing tribes into fight, the source said, holding the government responsible for supporting armed tribesmen in the area.
The development came as the ceasefire deal between the army and the Houthi Group reached in February this year goes on.
It ended a six-year war between the two sides that displaced tens of thousands of people.
Since it was brought into effect on February 11, the committees overseeing its implementation have reported many breaches by the group.
