The most wanted man on the Yemeni-Saudi border, called Abu Raweya, has been killed by the Houthi group, the News Yemen reported on Tuesday.
The website quoted Ali Al-Ajjei, a local government member, as saying that Ahmed Ali Raqeeb was killed at a new checkpoint set up by the group in Al-Ghail district but the details of his murder remained unknown.
Abu Raweya used to pass at the checkpoint without any problems and his death surprised all, Al-Ajjei said.
Abu Raweya, who is originally from Jaw in the northeast, is wanted on banditry, robbery and murders charges. He stationed at uncontrolled areas among the provinces of Marib, Shabwa and Jawf.
When police failed to arrest him, the Interior Ministry put his name on the most wanted list.
