The Yemeni coastguard has arrested a second Iranian ship in a week, but this time the seizure took place while the ship was fishing in Yemen's territorial waters.
The ship was seized off the northern coast of Socotra Archipelago.
Last Friday, the coastguard seized a ship with 16 crew members onboard with conflicting reports saying the ship was suspected of trading and trafficking drugs into the country.
The ship was seized off Yemen's eastern province of Hadramout in coordination with anti-piracy international troops patrolling the region.
15 of the crew were Pakistanis and the owner was an Iranian, according to security sources.
The two ships are now in custody and 25 of the two crews have been transferred to Mukala city while six of them remained aboard the two ships carrying large quantities of Yemeni fish.
