Following Houthi's first operation on the Saudi lands, which resulted in the death of a Saudi border guard and many others were injured in the confrontations.
The Arab League calls on the Yemeni Authorities to control its borders with Saudi Arabia and to prevent the infiltration and attacks committed by Houthis against Saudi border security guards, according to media sources.
For his part, an Egyptian diplomatic source expressed his concerns on the recent events on the Yemeni-Saudi borders and on the arrival of the war into the Yemeni-Saudi borders. The source said that what happened affect the national security of Saudi Arabia and Egypt as well, saying that the security of the Red Sea means the security of both countries, stated the same sources.
Al-Watan, a Saudi newspaper, quoted a senior official in the Arab League showing his criticism to Yemen for the arrival of the confrontations between the Yemeni Army Forces and Houthi militants to the Saudi borders.
Ambassador Ahmed bin Helli, Deputy Secretary-General of the League of Arab States regretted what happened to the Saudi Guard Forces. He added that the Arab League follow closely the developments in the situation in the Yemeni-Saudi borders.
Helli expressed his confidence on strong relationships between Saudi Arabia and Yemen that are able to contain the incidents, and work together to secure both countries borders to prevent the recurrence of what has happened.
