Huge explosions are continuing for more than an hour after Saudi-led airstrikes targeted weapons depots controlled by the Houthi militants on the Noqom Mountain east of Yemen's capital city of Sanaa early Monday.
Residents said fragments of weapons landed in nearby areas but there were no reports of casualties.
Scores were killed and hundreds injured in explosions of weapons targeted by airstrikes in Sanaa in May.
Today, airstrikes also targeted Houthi camps and weapons depots on the Aiban Mountain in the west of the capital and in other cities including Dhali.
Local sources in Dhali said airstrikes targeted Houthi camps and weapons in Qatabah on the outskirts of and the Sanah district in downtown Dhali.
The Arab coalition has repeatedly targeted the Houthi weapon depots on Noqom and Aiban since the Saudi-led Arab military operation was launched against the Houthi militants onMarch 26.
On the other hand, confrontations between pro-government and pro-Houthi forces continued in several cities including Taiz which has lately seen the fiercest battles since violence broke out more than a month ago.
Around 7 civilians were killed in Houthi shelling on residences on Sunday as the pro-government fighters were making progress on key frontlines, local sources said. Others were injured.
The escalating violence has left the country to face the worst lacks of supplies in recent history triggering appeals for ceasefire so that relief aid can be delivered for more than half the population.
