The Yemeni Socialist Party has put forward a proposal based on its own views to end the current political crisis and address the constitutional vacuum after the transition president and government resigned.
The proposal said the salvation of the political process mainly through convincing the president and government to withdraw their resignations is the best solution to end the crisis amid the complicated circumstances at the moment.
President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi and the cabinet resigned last week but the House of Representatives has failed to convene in order to accept or turn down Hadi's resignation. The cabinet's resignation was accepted by Hadi before he resigned.
The proposal said that any solution to the current crisis or any efforts to salvage the political process should take into account the commitment of all factions to protecting the national unity, implementing the outcomes of the national dialog conference, respecting all consensual deals and putting the country's interest above anything else.
It suggested to address violations and rectify any mistakes especially the shape and mechanisms of the national supervisory commission on the implementation of the dialog's outcomes.
Moreover, it suggested that any deals between factions are supposed to be in accordance with the consensual outcomes of the dialog conference and the peace and national partnership agreement. It said the implementation of the security appendix within the agreement starting with evacuating militias from around the presidential compound and public facilities is key to salvage the political process and make it a success.
It stressed the importance to give priority to addressing the current crisis and violations of the peace and partnership deal constructively, it said, while urging to avoid the use of force to undermine the implementation of the dialog's outcomes and political deals.
In addition, it called for forming competent authorities based in equal quotas from all factions and that the public interest should be on top of references to resolve all issues.
