The pro-government forces retook many positions on the Hilan Mountain in Yemen's province of Marib as fierce battles with the Houthi militants are continuing, military sources said on Saturday.
Around 3 forces and 18 fighters loyal to the Houthis and former president were killed in the battles, they said, adding others were injured.
With support from the Saudi-led coalition, the government forces retook most parts of Marib in recent months.
The battles are continuing for the remaining parts including Serwah all of which are on the border with Sanaa province.
Today, battles between the government and Houthi forces continued in the provinces of Dhali, Taiz, Ibb, Sanaa, Jawf and Baidha.
The government forces are advancing in Dhali and Baidha retaking positions, military sources revealed.
In Taiz, Houthis shelled rockets on populated areas killing and injuring around 5 civilians.
Around 7 popular resistance fighters backing the government forces and around 12 Houthis were killed in Taiz during the past two days.
The Arab coalition carried out fresh airstrikes in the capital Sanaa and other provinces including Saada on the border with Saudi Arabia, Houthi media reported today.
