More than 9 children were killed as the Saudi-led alliance continued airstrikes on Yemeni cities including the capital Sanaa and Taiz. on Saturday.
Overnight raids targeted military and security facilities as well as residences of Houthi and military leaders in the districts of Al-Nahdain and Al-Sabeen, Sanaa, killing five children and other civilians.
And the Saba news agency reported that four children were killed after airstrikes targeted the district of Majaz in Saada.
Moreover, a 10-member family including children and women was killed in airstrikes in Taiz, according to Saba.
The Arab military coalition has been bombing Yemen since March.
International organizations have accused it of using banned munitions such as cluster bombs as well as indiscriminate attacks that amount to war crimes.
The other warring parties are also being accused of law-of-war violations including indiscriminate attacks.
In the meanwhile, the fresh air raids coincided with escalating battles between the pro-and anti-government forces in several cities including Taiz and Marib.
Local sources in Taiz said the battles escalated in some midtown areas in the past 24 hours with around 24 fighters from both sides killed and tens injured.
The Houthi militants also continued to shell populated areas and seize positions and public facilities as more reinforcements are arriving to back them, the sources said.
