China to Set Up National Library
A Chinese team is going to visit Sana’a in order to perform the geological survey and choose the place where the national library would be established. Sources told Yemen Post that the new project will start by next year and the project would receive finance granting, $30-40 million, from the Chinese government.
Former Prime Minister of New Zealand Arrives to Yemen
Earlier this week, Jenny Shipley, Former Prime Minister of New Zealand arrived to Yemen in order to participate in a workshop on promoting Yemeni women’s political participation which is organized by the Yemeni Women Union. Shipley told media sources that she will deliver a lecture about political participation of the New Zealand women and their role in decision making and development planning.
41 killed in Traffic Accidents Last Week
A report issued by the Traffic General Administration declared that about 233 traffic accidents occurred last week. The report mentioned that 41 people were killed due to these accidents around the country. Meanwhile, drivers’ negligence, excessive speed and car technical faults were the main reasons for these accidents according to the report.
