The Security Authorities have removed all tribal crowds blocking the Sana'a-Mareb road for two days and demanding a plot of land they claimed looted by the government in the capital be given back to its owner.
Tribesmen led by Tuaiman, the elder of the Jahm tribe who is the owner of the land, took to the road hampering the movement of the gas trucks and causing an acute gas shortage in the capital of Sana'a and other provinces.
In response to the lawbreaking, the Interior ministry dispatched 33 security patrols to deal with the situation.
The security forces clashed with the tribesmen, with 6 soldiers wounded in an exchange of fire.
The destructive tribesmen ran away and the situation returned normal.
Tuaiman also claimed that the Interior Ministry which he says responsible for taking his land turned down a President Saleh's order asking it to give the plot back or compensate him.
He has many times incited his tribe and other people in Mareb to block the road and resist the authorities in protest at the illegal seizure of his land.
