Security authorities in Northern Hodiedah seized a large quantity of smuggled drugs were caught within smugglers inside two cars.
The source revealed that this drug smuggling operation is one of the biggest operations in the shores of Al-Oahaia and Midi, which are of the largest ports for smuggling drugs, medicines, weapons and other materials from Yemen and the neighboring countries.
Local sources told alsahwa.net that the security forces seized two cars with a number of persons onboard carrying 50 kilos of drugs in Al-Zohrah district of Hodiedah; however, the security authorities are still conducting investigations with the smugglers.
On the other hand, Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in Hodiedah City arrested two people in a central market in the center of the city; while promoting for a Yemeni-Saudi counterfeited currency and were trying to buy gold from one of the stores that sell jewelry in Al- Metraq market, added the source.
In related news, the Court of Irregularities in the Health Office seized a quantity of medicines of more than 50 kinds, which are counterfeited, smuggled and expired.
The sources added that the prosecution began the investigation on the suspects to know who stands behind them and stand them to justice for punishment.
