Yemeni authorities commenced to increase its security procedures to stop Somali elements alleged to be Jihadist from entering Yemeni land, sources close to the Higher National Committee for refugees was cited as saying by media outlets.
Emergency security measures came following local and international fears that Jihadist may flow to Yemen among Somali refugees. Jihadist of Somali nationality might join Al-Qaeda organization in the Arab Peninsula, the source claimed.
Meanwhile, observers said that improving the internal security in Yemen was of Washington’s interest amid allegations that the United States joined the Yemeni Army in launching attacks against Al-Qaeda elements in Yemen.
