New Plans to Improve Technical Education The Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training has new plans for updating its programs in the field of education and training. The plans include setting up an electronic network that connects all technical institutes and updating the ministry’s website. Up to 70,000 bpd : Total Oil Outputs in 2010 Total plans to increase its oil production in Yemen in the next two years especially in block number 10. The extension will increase from 40,000 bpd up to 70,000 bpd. Earlier, Total pointed out the company plans to invest around $1 billion over the next three years in Yemen Seizing Expired Goods Observation committees seized amounts of expired goods in Sana’a. Sources told Yemen Post big businessmen are suspected to be behind selling these goods under fake expiration dates. The majority of seized goods were biscuits, beans, cheese, honey, milk, and soft drinks. Traffic Accidents Kills and Injures 275 during One Week During last week, 36 people were killed while another 239 injured, 100 of which are in critical situation in traffic accidents around the country. The accidents varied as the following: 159 crash accidents, 66 run over, 28 turn over, and 1 falling down. The estimated losses from theses accidents was 30,695,000 Rials. |
