369 Victims of Car Accidents Last Week 49 people were killed while 322 were injured by traffic accidents last week in 253 different traffic accidents. A traffic source pointed out to Yemen Post that the material casualties caused by these accidents reached up to 37 million riyals. The accidents diverse in cause ranging from run over, collision, and turn over. High speeding was the biggest cause for these accidents as well as avoiding vehicle checks the source added. Yemen to produce 500,000 Oil barrels daily by 2010 Yemen plans to boost its oil production up to 500,000 barrels daily by 2010. The oil ministry is working to improve the production blocks and enter new exploration blocks to raise the production in addition to attract more international oil companies to invest in the country. The current oil production decreased from 438,000 barrels per day in 2002 to 317 barrels per day in 2007 ZincOx, Ansan Wikfs complete financing of zinc oxide mine in Yemen ZincOx and its partner Ansan Wikfs (Jabal Salab) Ltd, have completed the financing of Jabal Salab’s zinc oxide mine in Yemen. The company still has a further $50 million in cash for the development of its recycling projects. The zinc oxide project is the first large scale mining project to be developed in Yemen. Big National Library to be Set Up China offered support to Yemen up to $40 million to set up a big national library. The library is planned to be established in Sana’a within mutual cooperation between the two countries
