Felix Airways Launches its 1st Flight to Aden On Saturday, Prime Minister Ali Mujawar launched Felix Airways’ first flight, the low-cost domestic carrier from Sana’a to Aden. The company’s fleet will increase to eight Canadian Bombardier 74-passenger planes by the end of August of 2009, while four of them are supposed to be delivered in the next two months. The new airline company would open wide horizons assisting the flow of investments and will make traveling around the governorates easier and more convenient. Total Acquires Stake in Yemen Block from KNOC Total SA has agreed to acquire a 30.875% interest from Korea National Oil Corp. (KNOC), the operator in Yemeni Block 70, where a oil well is currently being drilled there. Total has been operating in Yemen for more than 20 years. Block 70 covers 1,367 sq km in the southeastern part of Marib. Musical Delegation from India to visit Yemen The Indian Rajsha Astani Group is to arrive in Aden in October 28, consisting of 8 top Indian musicians. The group will organize a number of cultural ceremonies in Sana'a and other governorates. In addition, the group's visit comes under growing relations and cultural cooperation between Yemen and India in coordination with the Indian Council for the Cultural Relations in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India. |
