Egypt, Yemen Agree to End Workers' Stay Fees

Both Yemenis and Egyptians will no longer pay migrant workers' stay fees in Egypt and Yemen. The move will likely allow both to stay longer in both countries than previously allowed. A source told Yemen Post that the move was in response to "discussions that took place between" the Yemeni and  Egyptian sides two months ago.

Yemeni Coastguard  Forces Capture Pakistani Ship Loading Hashish

A Pakistani ship, loading three tons of hashish, was captured by the Yemeni coastguards forces in the Gulf of Aden.

300 Publishing Houses in 25th Sana'a International Book Fair 2008

About 300 local, Arab and foreign publishing houses will take part in the 25th Sana'a International Book Fair 2008. The Book Fair 2008 organized by the General Authority for Book will be held from the 15–25 of October, and the Fair would contain over 350,000 titles in the various fields of knowledge. It is worth mentioning that the 25th Sana'a International Book Fair 2008 ranked second among Arab countries in terms of preparations and participation.
