US Grants Yemen $1.7 million in Urgent Humanitarian Help

(USAID),  has approved $1.7 million as urgent food aid to Yemen to help it alleviate pressure on food supplied to Yemen caused by the world food crisis. The donation includes 2540 tons of wheat, wheat flour, beans and green beans and rice. The American grant is to be administrated and distributed in activities of humanitarian relief of the world food program of the United Nations.

26488 Tones of Oil Arrive to Yemen

Earlier this week, eight commercial ships arrived to Yemen. Sources told Yemen Post that three commercial ships carrying 12,393 tons of oil and 460 containers arrived in Hodeidah seaport while another three commercial ships are still waiting to unload about 14,095 tons of oil.

Hood to organize “Live a Day in Guantanamo”

Today in Sana’a, The National Organization for Defending Rights and Freedoms (Hood) holds a gathering under the slogan “Live a Day in Guantanamo”. The meeting aims to introduce the physical and psychological violence being practiced against detainees in Guantanamo Bay to prisoners. The audience will practice the daily life of Guantanamo detainees and their sufferings through some pictures taken by the US lawyer David H. Remes.
