Customs Authority: Customs exemptions Should be Abandoned Ali Al-Zabidi, Chairman of Customs Authority, has stated that customs exemptions constitute a focus for corruption and, therefore, should be abandoned for this leads to misuse of tax and customs fees. He added that the total customs exemptions the authority granted in 2007 reached around YR 33.3 billion, out of which YR 4 billion under temporary permission system.

Throwing an Attempt to Smuggle Antiques outside the Country Security services at International Sana’a Airport thwarted an attempt to smuggle a bronze statue by an Italian tourist who claimed that he had bought.
