Number of drug packets that were seized on a ship near Hodieda shore owned by a Syrian businessman. The ship was carrying a total of over 2 million drug pills as they were on their way to Yemen and from there to the Gulf according to governmental sources.

French Engineer who was kidnapped in Shabwah last Tuesday. The kidnappers demanded the government to release one of their fellow relatives who was imprisoned. They also demanded the government to give them justice from a local trader who they claim oppresses locals and with the knowledge of the government. Hours later, the engineer was released. The engineer is originally from Algeria, but holds a French passport.

The total number killed in a gun attack in Tarim, Hadramout last week. The incident resulted in the death of two soldiers and five of the attackers. The total number of attackers were seven. After the shooting rampage with governmental forces, the two remaining attacker handed themselves in to the government. Details of who was behind the attacks have not been announced, while officials claim it to be Al-Qaeda related. Security officials are currently interrogating the two attackers who handed in themselves.

Total number of metric tons of diesel that a oil transporting ship emptied out at Aden Harbor on Friday to ease the diesel crisis in Yemen. The ship was from Iran according to sources. Over the last week, hundreds of cars have been seen waiting in long lines to fill up their cars with diesel or gas. This crisis started in February when the rumor was spread that the government is trying to increase the prices of oil, gas, and diesel.
