Number of injured during clashes in Al-Showda District of Amran governorate. The injured were not in serious condition, and the incident was due to revenge killings.

Drugs that was seized near the Aden Bay coming from Pakistan. All members of the drug gang were taken into custody by Yemeni security forces. This is considered one of the biggest drug busts in Yemeni history. Most of the members boarding the boat were foreigners and a small number of Yemenis.

The number of injured in tribal clashes between relatives near the capital. The clashes occurred when two relatives were fighting over who owns a wate well. The well was old and belonged to both of them, and because of misunderstandings, they shot each other and casued bigger clashes between both families. Along with the three injured, two members from the tribe have also been killed.

Teacher who was stabbed to death by another teacher in Al-Jawf governorate. The problem started when both teachers differed over how to treat a student, which caused one of them to stab the other. The teacher who was stabbed is not in serious condition.

The total number of days it took a court in the capital to give an eight year old girl the right to ask for a divorce from her husband who was more than six times her age. Najat’s, 8 years old,  was given nationwide publicity, and human rights activists feel that it will be the beginning of the end for early marriages in Yemen. Only in rare situations in Yemen would a girl get married as early as eight years old.

The total number locals who were taken to prison by security officials in the south over the last two weeks due to the strong protest that occurred in the South. Also, another 9 citizens are still missing and relatives do not know their whereabouts. The Joint Meeting Party (JMP) condemned the imprisonment of the citizens and demanded their release  immediately.
