The Houthi fighters targeted another warship of the Saudi-led coalition off Yemen's southwestern coast on Saturday, the second warship attacked in days, the Saba news agency reported.
A guided missile hit the warship in the Bab Al-Mandab strait precisely, it quoted a military source as saying.
Days ago, the Houthi missile defense force said it had destroyed completely one of the warships in the strait where battles between the Yemeni forces backed by the coalition and the militants have been raging for weeks.
The coalition, which launched a bombing campaign against the Houthis in March, has not confirmed attacks on any of its warships.
Lately, the Yemeni forces with direct support from the coalition retook the strait and islands as well as key towns on the Red Sea from the militants.
In the meanwhile, the battles are continuing in order to drive the militants out of all Taiz areas.
The population in Taiz have been facing harsh conditions due to the conflict and a siege around the city by the Houthi militants.
Locals said the siege is preventing all commodities from reaching the people and that families are struggling to cope with the lack of drinking water.
We are buying a 20-liter battle of water for 2.000 YR, around $8.5, and, because of the lack of fuels, transport of the battle costs 6.000 YR, around $25.5, they said.
In addition, the militants are preventing people from buying commodities such as cooking gas from outside the city.
If the militants spot a gas cylinder with a citizen at one of their checkpoints, they confiscate it or open it by force to waste gas in it leaving people to come back empty handed, locals said.
Today, Saba also reported that the Houthi fighters destroyed eight armored vehicles and tanks and killed a number of Yemeni and coalition forces in the province of Marib.
Separately, the coalition resumed airstrikes on military targets in some parts of the capital Sanaa and other cities including Taiz and Marib.
