Yemeni government led by Vice President and prime minister, Khalid Bahah, returned to the country on Wednesday after a several-months stay in Saudi Arabia.
Officials said Bahah along with several ministers and other officials arrived in the temporary capital the southern city of Aden and have already started meetings on national issues topped by rebuilding the city.
The pro-government forces backed by the Saudi-led coalition retook Aden and most of southern regions from the Houthi militants in June.
Saudi and UAE forces have since been helping the Yemeni forces to preserve security in it.
From now on, the government will run the state affairs from Aden, the officials said.
After Aden was retaken in mid-June, three ministers came back from Riyadh who have since been managing its affairs.
President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi is still in Riyadh. There were no reports when he will come back.
Hadi and the government have been staying in and acting from Riyadh for six months.
They were ousted by the Houthi militants in late 2014 and fled into Riyadh after the Saudi-led military intervention was launched against the Houthis in late March.
The government's return coincided with ongoing battles between the pro-government forces and the Houthi militants as well as Saudi-led airstrikes in middle and northern cities including Taiz and Marib.
