A military force from the Arab coalition which has been bombing the Houthi militants was sent to Yemen, Anadolu Agency reported on Saturday.
The force included infantry troops and dozens of armoured vehicles and tanks that arrived in the eastern province of Hadramout through the border crossing of Al-Wadiah early on Saturday, it said.
The force has already headed toward the oil-rich province of Marib to support the Yemeni forces against the Houthi militants, it quoted Yemeni officials as saying.
The government forces backed by the popular resistance have been fighting the Houthi militants and forces loyal to the former president in several provinces since the government was ousted by the latter in late 2014.
The Saudi-led coalition has been bombing the militants and dissident forces in support of the legitimate forces since March.
Moreover, it has been providing logistical and further support to the government forces that has recently helped retake southern cities from the militants.
Today, the coalition conducted airstrikes in some cities including Saada, Baidha and Marib as the battles between the pro- and anti-Houthi forces continued.
Separately, suspected Al-Qaeda militants bombed the compound of the Aden intelligence, the second bombing in the city which was retaken from the Houthis in days, local officials said.
The officials added that there were no casualties.
The local authorities in Aden are on high alert amid fears of possible acts of terror by Al-Qaeda, which has been taking advantage of the armed conflict and expanding, as well as Houthi sleeper cells.
GCC countries participating in the coalition have lately sent security officials to help restore security and stability in Aden.
