Three Yemeni civilians were killed in a car bomb in the southeastern province of Shabwa where the months-long battles between the forces and the Houthi militants have lately escalated.
The Saba news agency quoted a local security source as saying on Wednesday the car bomb had been detonated at the agriculture building in Ataq, the capital.
The victims were passersby and buildings and cars at the scene were affected, according to the agency.
In the past two months, a series of bombings hit the capital city of Sanaa which was seized by the Houthis following the ouster of the government in late 2014.
ISIL claimed most of the deadly bombings that killed hundreds of civilians and injured many others.
Meanwhile, the forces with support from the Saudi-led coalition and the popular resistance are seeking to drive the Houthi militants out of Shabwa, the latest city controlled by the militants in the south.
In recent weeks, the forces retook four southern cities including Aden after months of battles with the Houthis.
