The Houthi militants who have been clashing with the Saudi forces on the border between Yemen and Saudi Arabia said they launched a scud missile on a military base in Riyadh on Monday.
The Almasirah TV, the mouthpiece of the militants, said the missile targeted the Al-Sulayyil Ballistic Missiles Base in the valley of Aldawasir in Riyadh.
The Saudi authorities have not commented on the news.
Weeks ago, the militants fired a scud missile into Saudi Arabia which the Saudi army brought down before it could reach its target.
The Houthis with support from the forces loyal to the former president of Yemen have been fighting the Saudi forces on the border between the two countries for around two months.
The fighting was a response to the Saudi-led Arab military operation which has been targeting Houthi brigades, weapon depots and personnel since late March.
Tens of Saudis including civilians have been killed and injured some by rockets targeting Saudi border towns.
In Yemen, around 3.000 people have been killed and around 10.000 others injured in internal conflict and misdirected airstrikes by the Arab coalition.
Hundreds of civilians including many children were killed and injured in misdirected airstrikes as well as explosions of weapons located near populated areas that were targeted by airstrikes, organisations said.
