Forces apparently from Arab countries which have been carrying out airstrikes against the Houthi militants were not deployed in the port city of Aden on Saturday, local sources said.
Rumors spread that the forces had arrived to help the popular resistance to fight Houthi militants and forces loyal to the former president.
The battles in Aden have been continuing for more than a month.
When the Arab countries launched the airstrikes, Saudi Arabia said more than one hundred thousand ground troops were on standby and could intervene in Yemen if necessary.
Lately, Houthi snipers have started to target people including civilians in Aden after the popular resistance fighters forced the militants to retreat from key warfronts and regained many areas.
Human rights minister, Ezz Al-Din Al-Asbahi, said at a press conference in Saudi capital Riyadh snipers are killing 15 people a day in Aden.
Moreover, Houthis have been besieging Aden and the humanitarian situation has alarmingly deteriorated.
Aden, Taiz and Dhale were lately declared as violence-stricken cities facing lacks of all supplies and services.
