The ambassadors of Saudi Arabia, the US and UK to Yemen have met with aides of the former president in Riyadh, media reports said on Wednesday.
The meetings came within efforts to solve the crisis in Yemen peacefully after the Arab coalition suspended the operation decisive storm against the Houthi militants and dissident forces loyal to ex-president Saleh, the reports said.
They coincided with US warnings to Iran against sending weapons to the Hounti militant group in Yemen that could affect the waterways in the region, according to reports.
Moreover, the White House has urged all Yemeni factions to resume talks without conditions.
Meanwhile, Saudi ambassador to Washington Adel Al-Jubair said Iran is deeply involved in Yemen's chaos.
At a press conference today, he said Iran is part of the problem not the solution.
Lately, Al-Jubair said Iran would not play any role in Yemen's future.
Al-Jubair's remarks come as proxies for Iran in Yemen, the Houthi militants, have been fighting forces and popular resistance in several cities for months.
The confrontations followed Houthi coup against the transition government with support from forces loyal to Saleh.
On Tuesday, the Saudi-led Arab coalition suspended the military operation in Yemen after destroying most of heavy weapons controlled by the militants.
The move was aimed at paving the way for diplomatic efforts to end the crisis through political solutions.
Possible solution is expected to call for departure of ex-president Saleh out of Yemen and that the Houthis implement the latest UN Security Council's resolution.
The resolution called on the Houthi group to cede power, evacuate its fighters from public compounds and all cities.
Moreover, Houthis were urged to the up all weapons and engage themselves in the political process as a party not militant group.
