Tribes in Yemen's Marib city launched fierce battles against Houthi militants and dissident forces killing at least 55 militants, local sources said on Wednesday.
The battles took place in the Majzar district and the tribes ate advancing toward the capital city of Sanaa.
Around 3 tribesmen were killed and more a dozen others injured, they added.
The Marib battles coincided with continued clashes between local popular resistance fighters and Houthi militants and forces loyal former president in southern Taiz and Aden cities.
Today, the Arab coalition airdropped letters to people in Taiz assuring them that Arabs are fighting attempts by Iran to expand in Arab countries, locals said.
