Yemen's Foreign Minister conducted a short interview with BBC concerning the updates on the war on terror. Below are the two questions he discussed.

Can Yemen's government tackle Al Qaeda on its own or if it needs outside help?
Abu Bakr al-Qirbi: "The support we need is training, logistics, transportation, equipment, mechanisms, communication systems. We are fighting in a very difficult terrain because these small groups of terrorists have really escaped into the very mountainous areas.... One should realize how difficult it is going to be for the Yemeni Government if it doesn't get the support needed.”

Should foreign soldiers be sent to Yemen to help in the fight against Al Qaeda?
Abu Bakr al-Qirbi: "Well I don't think we need really foreign soldiers on our territory. I think what we need is to mobilize our forces, to equip them, to train them well, and I think experience have [sic] shown, both in Iraq and Afghanistan, that foreign forces create problems as well as resolving them sometimes. The problems are worse than the solutions."
