FrenchTotal Company that works in oil exploration has announced about its ownership for 36% of shares of partnership agreement in the production of sector (72) in Yemen.
The area of the sector occupied by the DNO Yemen is (1.821) square kilometers and is located in the southern part of Maseela basin. And the acquisition of Total's share subjects to the approval of the Ministry of Oil and Minerals of Yemen.
Total plans with the virtual partners (DNO), (TJ) Holeneks Yemen, Ansan Wekfes Limited (Hadramaut) and Yemen company to drill an exploration well in the fourth quarter of this year.
And when having that share, Total goes on its exploration and production activities in Yemen, in geological basins located near of its existing projects.
