Tens of thousands of Yemenis demonstrated in Al-Sabaain Zone central of Sana’a today to condemn the Israeli attack on the “fleet of freedom”, and waved Palestinian and Turkish flags, in addition to pictures of the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The demonstrators gathered in central Sana’a in respond to invitations of the ruling party and the opposition JMP, according to media reporters.
The demonstration was lead by political leaders and the public committee for supporting the Palestinian issue. The leaders presented words stressing their condemnations and denunciations on the attack.
However, the demonstrators demanded on the Arab leaders to take a serious stand against Israel, as well as urging on the international community to press on Israel for lifting the blockade on Gaza Strip.
In the same regard, Yemeni sources confirmed that the Yemeni MP Sheikh, Hazza Al-Masoarri has been injured by the attack of the Zionist occupation forces on the fleet of freedom, while MPs Mohammed Nasser Al-Hazmi and Sheikh, Abdul-Khaliq Bin Shaehoan are still detained by Israeli authorities, while the Yemeni Authority calls on releasing them, said official sources.
They all were onboard Gaza-bound aid convoy, which has been organized by pro-Palestinian groups, left European ports on Sunday to deliver food and other aid to the people of Gaza, who have been under blockade since 2007.
