Unidentified armed people have destroyed a military vehicle while it was on a ration supply duty in the southern province of Dhale.
The gunmen intercepted the car early Wednesday in the highway, forced their drivers to get out and then burned it, according to the Alsahwa website.
The attack comes in retaliation for the killing of a motorcyclist who was killed in an exchange of gunfire between the police and gunmen a day ago in the city which has seen much violence this year, according to the website.
However, the state-run September 26 weekly said the attack was implemented by the fans of the southern anti-government movement, adding the movement is aiming at an armed violence and terrorism to terrify the people.
Eight suspects in attacking the car and shooting the police station in the district of Al-Azareq were arrested with guns, drugs and publications propagating the movement's thought.
They are being investigated.
On the other side, a fuel truck was kidnapped in Lahj when armed saboteurs intercepted it and threatened its drivers and then took the truck.
The incident took place as armed gangs have in recent weeks stepped up their sabotage attacking the people and their properties as well as imposing illegal sums on them.
