The United Arab Emirates concluded the training of a batch of resistance fighters who will join Yemen's army in fight against the Houthi militants, the UAE news agency has reported.
The fighters received intensive training in combat, use of all weapons, internal security and first aid, it said.
Aged between 18-20 years old, the Yemeni fighters were the first battalion to be trained in the UAE and they will join the battles to restore power from the Houthis, it said.
More fighters will be trained in the future by the Saudi-led coalition as part of the efforts to build a well-trained army capable of defending Yemen, it added.
The coalition has been bombing the Houthi militants since March with the goal to restore the legitimacy of the UN-backed the government.
Lately, it deployed thousands of troops and large military equipment that helped the Yemeni forces retake southern regions and Marib province so far.
In this context, news reports said more Bahraini troops, around 300, arrived on Monday to the Yemeni authorities to secure the southern port city of Aden.
Aden is the temporary capital as the Houthis are still taking over the capital Sanaa.
Troops from Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Sudan were deployed into this city earlier.
