Yemen's president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi has replaced three ministers within the government which has been staying in and acting from Saudi Arabia for months.
The partial reshuffle of the government covered the ministers of health, oil and sports.
It coincided with reports by Gulf media that the government plans to return to the southern port city of Aden next week.
Hadi dismissed the governor of Aden Nayef Al-Bakri from his post and appointed him as the new sports and youth minister.
No new governor has been named for Aden, which was declared as the temporary capital as the Houthi militants are still controlling the capital Sanaa.
In Aden, gunmen shot dead an official today, the latest in a series of targeted killings since the city was retaken from the Houthi militants in June.
Separately, the Saudi-led coalition continued airstrikes against the Houthis in Sanaa, Baidha and border cities.
The coalition announced 5 Saudi troops were killed in clashes with the Houthis on the border between the two countries.
In addition, the battles between the pro-government forces backed by the coalition and the militants resumed in Taiz and Marib.
In Marib where troops and equipment from the coalition were lately deployed, military sources said the forces advanced on warfronts forcing the militants to retreat toward Sanaa.
And in Taiz, locals said the militants continued to shell populated areas and mosques killing and wounding civilians.
