Dozens of people including foreigners were killed and injured in Arab airstrikes in Yemen on Tuesday.
The Saba news agency reported that 22 Indian fishermen were killed and Yemenis injured after the Arab coalition struck the port of Al-Haimah in the town of Khokha in Hodeida province.
It was the first time foreign casualties reported from the six-months Arab bombing campaign which has claimed lives of many Yemenis including children.
All foreign embassies were shut and their staffs and foreign citizens evacuated from Yemen after the Saudi-led military intervention was launched against the Houthi militants in late March.
Saba also said 15 Yemeni civilians were killed and 77 others injured in airstrikes in the capital city of Sanaa today.
Airstrikes targeted residences and police and military installations located in populated areas, it said, adding that public and private properties were destroyed partially and completely.
In recent days, the coalition has intensified its raids on Yemen after scores of its troops were killed in Marib province.
Moreover, it has deployed more troops and equipment help the government forces retake the oil-rich Marib and Jawf provinces and then the capital Sanaa.
The reinforcements have already joined the battles in Marib, local sources said.
In the meanwhile, the battles between the pro-government forces and the Houthi militants continued in the city of Taiz.
Locals said the Houthis continued to pound populated areas hysterically as they are continuing to receive devastating blows in the Taiz fighting.
Yesterday, dozens of Houthis were killed in this city whose people have been facing harsh conditions due to the battles and a Houthi-imposed siege around it.
