At least 12 civilians were killed and 54 others injured in Saudi-led airstrikes in the town of Yarim in central Yemen on Monday, the Saba news agency reported.
The agency quoted a local security official as saying the airstrikes targeted a populated area killing and injuring 66 civilians including children.
International organizations have lately accused the Saudi-led coalition of using banned munitions such as cluster bombs and indiscriminate attacks that amount to war crimes.
More than 4.000 civilians have been killed and around 20.000 others injured in the Arab military operation was launched against the Houthi militants and forces loyal to the former president since March, organizations said.
In the past few days, the coalition has intensified raids on the capital Sanaa and other cities after scores of its troops were killed in Marib province.
The fresh and heavy airstrikes coincided with ongoing battles between the pro-and anti-government forces in some cities including Marib, Taiz, Baidha and Jawf.
In Taiz, sources within the popular resistance which is backing the government forces said around 42 Houthi militants were killed and many other injured in battles today.
On the other hand, the Saba agency also said clashes between the Houthi militants and the Saudi forces on the border between the two countries continued Monday.
Saudi forces were killed and their military equipment including tanks were destroyed after the Yemeni forces attacked a military site in the Saudi Jazan city, Saba said.
