he technician teams suspended the repair works to power pylons after gunmen opened fire on them in Yemen's Marib province on Sunday, the Saba agency reported.
The agency quoted sources as saying the teams have already repaired some of the damaged pylons in the Wadi Halhalan area, the Jadan district, and that the pylons 216 to 227 are still down.
The repair works were commenced weeks ago and were expected to be completed before the arrival of the fasting month of Ramadan.
Yemen has been without electricity for more than two months.
The ongoing violence has led to lacks of all supplies especially fuels leaving the people with no option except darkness or candles.
The battles between the Houthi militants and pro-government forces in Marib affected power pylons forcing the Marib gas-fired power station to shut down.
Also, the acute fuel shortages blamed on the Houthi battles and a blockade on all Yemeni land, sea and air routes forced the shutdown of backup power plants plunging cities into darkness around the clock.
The blockade was part of a Saudi-led Arab military operation launched against the Houthis in late March.
Power comes back for an hour or two in days or weeks in some parts of the capital city of Sanaa.
In conflict cities such as Aden and Taiz, power has been off all time for months.
