More than 20 Houthis were killed in fierce battles with the pro-government forces in Yemen's central province of Baidha on Sunday, agencies reported.
Several pro-government fighters were killed and injured during the battles in the Qaifat Rada, the reports said, adding that the pro-government forces retook key positions after the battles.
The confrontations between pro-government fighters and the Houthi militants continued in other cities as well today.
On the other hand, Saudi-led airstrikes targeted Houthi weapons depots in some cities including Marib where the pro-government forces have lately advanced on key war fronts.
The violence is deepening the humanitarian catastrophe as around 80% of the country's population are in need of emergency aid.
The people in all cities are fasting the holy month of Ramadan this year amid persistent lacks of supplies including fuels, cooking gas, electricity and foodstuffs.
The prices of products have soared with some quadrupled due to the lacks.
