National Forum for Rescue Founded in Yemen
The National Forum for Rescue and and building civil and modern state of Yemen was formed on Sunday.
At the foundation ceremony, Aheikh Saba AbuLahoum was selected as chairman of the forum's preparatory committee which immediately revealed an initiative for solving the current crisis in the country.
AbuLahoum said the forum aims to lay the groundwork for an institutional state, boost the efforts aimed at putting the country's interest above anything else and guarantee implantation of all deals signed by Yemeni factions.
The forum comprised of politicians, academics, tribal elders, clerics, young men and civil society organizations from all parts of Yemen.
Speeches were delivered by attendants at the foundation ceremony including those shedding the light on ethics and values the forum adopts.
It is worth mentioning that the forum comes to serve the interest of the Yemeni people as well as addressing internal and external challenges.
Its foundation came amid a fast deteriorating humanitarian situation due to the post-Houthi takeover of power.
Yemeni people have been facing lacks of fuels, foods and medicines for around two months. The lacks are blamed on violence and a blockade on all Yemeni ports.
The blockade was part of a Saudi-led military operation which was launched against the Houthi militants on March 26.
