The World Health Organization has revealed that around 1700 people have killed and 7.000 others injured in recent Yemen violence.
More than 300.000 people have been displaced and around 8.6 million are in dire need for medical aid due to the violence which has been escalating for more than a month, it said.
The statement coincided with persistent violence in some cities including Taiz and Dhale amid a fragile five-day humanitarian ceasefire.
The ceasefire will expire on Sunday as authorities and international organizations are still looking forward to more aid to the people.
Sources in Taiz and Dhale said aid has not reached many people in the two cities.
Today, the government, which is staying in Riyadh since it can't resume duties from the county, accused the Houthi militants of hysterical shelling of residences and hospitals in Taiz killing civilians and preventing those injured from receiving medical treatments.
Moreover, it accused the militants of denying public access to aid and that they are confiscating aid for themselves.
In the meantime, Yemeni people are looking forward to talks that are expected to bring together all factions in Riyadh on Sunday.
Early this month, president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi called for the talks under sponsorship by the GCC states.
Factions except the Houthi militant group have agreed to take part in the talks.
