Houthi militants continued to shell residences in Yemen's southern city of Taiz on Tuesday killing and injuring civilians and damaging houses, local sources said.
There were no immediate statistics about civilians killed and injured as the sources affirmed there were a lot of casualties.
On Monday, the militants shelled populated areas in Taiz killing around 40 civilians and injuring tens of others.
The shelling coincided with intensified airstrikes by Arab countries on Houthi weapon depots and war positions in the capital city of Sanaa, Taiz and other cities.
More then one hundred civilians were killed and hundreds others injured after Saudi-led airstrikes targeted missile depots on the Noqom mountain east of Sanaa on Monday, officials said.
The victims lived near the mountain and might not know about warnings by the Arab countries urging Yemenis living near Houthi-controlled brigades and weapons and residences of Houthi leaders to evacuate.
In the past few days, scores of civilians were killed and injured in apparently misdirected airstrikes in the country.
Saudi Arabia has been leading an Arab military operation on the Houthi militants and forces loyal to the former president on March 26.
The operation was launched after the militants ousted the transition president and government and waged battles against cities mostly in the southern and middle regions.
