Tens of Houthi militants were killed in fierce battles with tribes in Shabwa province in southeastern Yemen, local sources said on Wednesday.
The battles broke out in the Beihan town, they said, while elaborating that local tribes clashed with and ambushed Houthis killing tens and forcing many others to flee.
Tribes also destroyed tanks and other vehicles of the militants who are receiving support from forces loyal to ex-president, they added.
Separately, tribes have driven Houthi militants out of the districts of Al-Qafr and Morais in Ibb province.
Tribes in Ibb have started to mobilize in order to kick the militants out of all provincial areas and forever, local sources revealed today.
The Houthi militants have been fighting on several warfronts since they seized power in late last year.
They have received devastated blows including those after Arab countries launched a military operation against them and pro-Saleh forces.
