Yemen's Information Minister Nadia Al-Saqqaf said on Thursday Houthi militants stormed her office and threatened to hold positions at it by force as the Houthi Group continues to tighten its grip on power.
Al-Saqqaf said on Twitter the Houthi militants were not armed and that Abdullah Al-Moayad who led the raid told the manager of the office "he will work at the office by force".
The Houthi move might be a response after reports said Al-Saqqaf has lately rejected to appoint Houthis in state media organizations.
Since Houthis seized the capital city of Sanaa in September, they have been tightening their grip on power through seizing public compounds and forcing appointments of Houthi loyalists at all authorities.
They have seized nine cities in the north besides their stronghold, Saada on the border with Saudi Arabia, are eying more cities.
