YPS Condemns Attacking Al-Adhwa Chief Editor

Yemeni Press Syndicate (YPS) condemned on Thursday the attack against Al-Adhwa newspaper's Editor-in-Chief Ali Al-Asadi.

In its statement, the syndicate indicated that a group of men dressed in military uniform blocked Al-Asadi's way while he was heading to his office located in the Airport Road and attacked him using sticks and iron rods until he fell senseless.

The statement added the aggression comes in line with continuous attacks against journalists by individuals affiliated with military and security institutions, noting such an attack could not have happened unless concerned authorities were complacent with former perpetrators.
