Two people were killed and other two injured on Saturday afternoon in clashes involving security affiliates positioned in Hazm Al-Jawf City – Al-Jawf Province's capital – and groups of tribal people affiliated with Thou Mohammed Tribe. The clashes started after a heated argument between both sides before the Al-Jawf's Criminal Investigation office and the battle lasted for two hours. A soldier was killed and another one injured, and the same thing applies to the tribal group. Tribal source told Yemen Post that the difference over polio campaign's allocations caused Al-Jawf Governor to jail the Barat district's head of health office and the head of the local council. Thou Mohammed tribal people came to mediate for their release. However, they clashed with security men who tried to disarm the tribal group. Al-Jawf governorate, with its residents' tribal nature, is one of the hot spots in Yemen and clashes involving security affiliates and tribes on hand and between the different tribes on the other take place quite often.
